Trust Level Admins
Group admins: Controls user accounts across all schools in your trust
What they do: Invite and remove users, assign school level admins and can bulk-upload staff to save time.
Who it's for: Central team members who handle staff onboarding and offboarding.
Top tip: Set up at least 2 group admins so you're always covered.
Group training admin: Has oversight of training across every school in your trust.
What they do: Assign training trust-wide, track course progress, and monitor compliance.
Who it's for: Your trust Safeguarding Lead or CPD Lead.
Top tip: Set up at least 2 group training admins.
School level admins
Organisational Admins - keep staff lists up to date at their school
What they do: Invite new staff members and remove staff when they leave. They can bulk upload users to their school
Who it's for: This is often the SBM and Headteacher / SLT
Top Tip: set at least 2 organisational admins at each school
Safeguarding training admin: Oversees safeguarding training within a single school.
What they do: Assign training to staff at their school. Track course completion and view or download certificates.
Who it's for: This is usually the DSL and CPD lead at the school
Top Tip: set at least 2 organisational admins at each school
You can assign admin rights to a user by clicking on the edit pencil icon at the right along the line where their name is shown and this allows you to add organisation or training admin rights to that user.
Check and update admin permissions
To see who currently holds admin rights across your trust and individual schools, go to Manage Users. You'll see permissions listed next to each name, and you can filter the list using the drop-down menu.
To assign or change admin rights for a team member:
Find their name in the Manage Users section.
Click the pencil icon on the right side of their row.
Select the admin rights you want to give them.
