Is The Key’s safeguarding training compliant?

A spokesperson from each organisation confirmed that neither Ofsted nor the DfE specify how safeguarding training must be delivered, only that it must take place at induction and be updated regularly.

However, training should be in line with advice from the school’s Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). It is advised schools check their LSCB’s guidance to determine whether the course is suitable and whether any additions or amendments are needed.

Assuming the LSCB’s advice is met, our INSET pack can be used to help schools meet their statutory safeguarding training requirements.
