About our administrator roles
You can use our different administrator roles to help get the most out of your membership.
To view your school or trust’s current administrator roles on The Key, then please visit your account.

Overview of each administrator role
The Key now offers several admin features to make managing your school or trust membership with us easier. These include roles such as Organisation Admin, Training Admin, Group Admin, Group Training Admin, and Governance Admin.
Here is an overview of what each role can do on The Key (please click the link):
Organisation admin.
This admin feature helps manage users within your organisation. This includes inviting new users and removing users who leave.
Safeguarding training admins
This admin feature helps manage safeguarding training within your organisation. Admins in this role can view course progress and access/download certificates.
Group admin
This admin feature helps manage users across all organisations within the trust membership. Group admins can manage users within their group, including inviting and removing members.
Group safeguarding training admin
This admin feature helps manage safeguarding training across all organisations within the trust membership. This role allows admins to view course progress and training information for group members.
Governance admins
This admin feature helps manage your GovernorHub users. If you encounter a permissions error, such as a message stating "no permission to access the accounts page," it may indicate that you are not set up as an organization admin. To resolve this: 1. Use the 'Become an Admin' self-serve link provided by the GovernorHub team. 2. Follow the link to grant yourself organization admin access. 3. Once the setup is complete, try accessing the accounts page again. The admin site (admin.governorhub.com) is exclusively available to admins of multi-organisation accounts, such as trusts, local authorities (LAs), and Governor Services/Clerking Services. Standalone school account admins will not have access to this site.
